Kenya Power asks Kenyans shifting to solar energy to be wary of cons in sector

The company’s chief executive officer Bernard Ngugi said KPLC was best placed to offer off-grid services as it understood electricity ‘better’ than any other firm.

The CEO said the power distributor was the energy solution of choice for Kenyans while insisting the company was not worried about the shift to reliable and renewable energy.

Kenya Power had unveiled a solar access programme targeting over 1.3 million customers in a project that will cost over KSh 15 billion.
