The Uganda Solar Energy Association (USEA) has established a one stop call center to carter and address all solar energy related inquiries.
The center is designed to respond to consumer’s general questions about solar products, offer an independent first opinion as to which solutions are generally available based on consumer’s demand and provide information on good quality products and suppliers as well as where to buy the solar products. The call center is established with support from GIZ Energising Development (EnDev) Uganda.
Objectives for Setting up a call center
The USEA Customer Call Center for Information Management shall have the following objectives:
- Respond to consumer’s general questions about solar products and solutions.
- Offer an independent first opinion as to which solutions are generally available and what systems size the customer should look at, based on their demand needs.
- Provide information on good quality products and suppliers as well as where to buy them through the referral system.
- Provide an independent Ombudsman for arbitration for all those customers that have bought a solar product and fail to resolve an issue with the company they bought from; and that registers complaints for all other cases and companies to identify USEA and non-USEA members that repeatedly violate customer protection or quality standards
