According to Uganda’s Minister of Energy and Resource Development, Hon. Irene Muloni, Uganda will lead a delegation of private and public players from the Ugandan oil and gas sector.
It would be nice if the Ugandan government showed the same ambition in renewable energy. But so far you only see crumbs and alms: enough to show the outside world that you are doing something. But too little for a really serious commitment. The Ugandan government remains committed to the traditional thinking of the 20th century in energy policy. Ultimately unworthy for a country that has already arrived in the IT sector in the 21st century.
