According to Kisumu County Executive Member in charge of Trade and Energy, Ms. Alice Moraa, only 22 percent of the general population connected to the National grid.
Speaking on Wednesday in Kisumu when a team from the East African Community (EAC) called on Kisumu Deputy Governor, Dr. Mathew Owili, Moraa said in a move to make up for the deficit, the County Government is set to venture into renewable sources of energy to cut household and industrial dependency on the National grid.
