Kenya leads East Africa in access to electricity

Kenya is the leading country in East Africa with access to electricity – having seen a steady growth from 32 per cent in 2015 to 73.42 per cent as at April this year, according to World Bank figures.

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta said that this was because his government had made sustained investment in energy a priority over the last five years.
