Four million households in Kenya lack access to electricity – World Bank

Four million households in Kenya currently lack access to electricity out of which three million are expected to be connected to the national grid over the next four years.

The remaining off-grid one million homes, largely in rural marginalised areas, will be connected through off-grid solutions like mini grids and solar kits, according to World Bank records. This offers a ready market for off-grid solar power energy providers.
