Blackouts are expensive to manage – ERA

In only one year, Uganda has experienced about seven nation-wide blackouts that affect business and the economy as a whole. These have turned out to be costly requiring about Shs1.2b to be corrected.

Christine Kasemiire had a chat with Ziria Tibalwa Waako, the Electricity Regulatory Authority chief executive officer about blackouts and other issues in the electricity sub-sector.
